I love this butchers in Middleburg and once spent over $100 on cheese! Their meat is all supplied by the farm that owns it and they have wonderful pate. They also impressed me by being the only shop I've ever seen in the U.S. that sold my favorite cookbook, A Cook on the Wild Side by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

Had a moment of extravagance today when I spotted this one place setting for $25. It's by Ralph Lauren and sooo fits in with my 'no matching sets' theme in my house. I love it!

2 empty cigar boxes that I acquired from The Tinder Box Cigar Lounge in Waldorf, MD. Cost $3 each and the money goes to charity.

An antique brass kettle that I remember as a child sitting on the hearth, and now it has a home on my fireplace, thanks to Mum shipping it over to me. Apparently an Art Deco one is following...

Alam came in today with gifts from Bangladesh. He brought me coins from there and Turkey, banana gum and packets of Dal, (like lentils) and Fried Peas. They were really tasty!
