Pam brought a very cute little baby woofer called Skidd into work to meet me. She's a designer hound crossed between a Boston terrier and a French bulldog. So cute!

Tuesday, May 26th

Clear skies above an empty road, a lovely sight for the journey home after work.

Went for a quick cycle round the lanes after work and met a squirrel, a bunny, some deers, some blue birds, 2 black swans, a black snake and some llamas. This one was extremely friendly and insisted on giving me kisses. On the lips. Repeatedly.

Met this dude at a local farm on the way home from kayaking.

Came across a wonderful collection of old trucks today. More photos will be on Lucent Moments next week.

Found a little guy floating in one of my shells on the patio.

Jim dropped by at work today and gave me this super cool travel mug as a reminder of a place where I was nearly arrested because I wanted to photograph their building for a school project. Oops!

The IGA store changed their sign. I think I'll be keeping away from here now for a while, don't want to end up on the deli!

Driving through Marshall today and this caught my attention. The 'missile launcher' was upright. I actually had asked about this thing before. It's a blimp mobile docking station; probably not too many of those on the planet. It's likely to be sent to Afghanistan where presumably they're big on blimps.

They're back!!!! After running its last episode in 1991, this wonderful series has returned tonight. It opened with the same music and images with just a few more up to date photos thrown in, and with such a superb start, I'm going to enjoy sitting back for the next 2 hours to watch this powerful drama. Sure hope it lives up to everyone's hopes.

The old truck has been moved and is now facing the road. Hope it's not going to disappear one day...

Watching The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Parade on TV. Poured with rain but what a show! First Royal Pageant in 350 years and took 2 years to plan but of course it went like clockwork.
